The Mamba Point Hotel is seeking to recruit qualified candidates for the following positions for work in Harrisburg, Montserrado County:


1. Kitchen Supervisor
RESPONSIBILITIES:
To assist in overseeing all kitchen operations.  To carry out any and all functions delegated by the Executive Chef, including but not limited to; scheduling, disciplinary actions, employee counseling, and performing the day-to-day functions of any position within the kitchen when needed.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
Education: Minimum of a high school diploma is required. Prior Work Experience: None. Language Proficiency: Level IV English (fluent read/write/speak). Language proficiency will be tested. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Basic knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures, knowledge of customer service principles and practices are required. Exhibits cordial and pleasant behavior and is a people person. Leadership and Supervision: Demonstrate effective leadership and supervisory skills. Ability to treat people as individuals, acknowledging their individual needs and aspirations. Must be able to train employees effectively and recognize the need for coaching and counseling. Establishes work standards and expectations for self and others.  Appropriately assigns/delegates work and authority to others in the accomplishment of goals.  Appropriately assesses contributions and performance of employees; provides appropriate recognition, discipline and deals with problems as they arise.


2. Housekeeping / Laundry Supervisor
RESPONSIBILITIES:
To ensure the efficient and economic management of the housekeeping and laundry departments.  To supervise and control the cleaning and servicing of all bedrooms, dining rooms, function and public rooms.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
Education: Minimum of a high school diploma is required. Prior Work Experience None. Language Proficiency: Level IV English (fluent read/write/speak). Language proficiency will be tested. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Thorough knowledge of the materials, methods, and practices used in cleaning operations. Basic knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures, good knowledge of customer service principles and practices are required. Exhibits cordial and pleasant behavior and is a people person. 3. Storekeeper
RESPONSIBILITIES:
To ensure that optimum stock levels are maintained, that all goods, perishable and non-perishable are stored under ideal conditions and that maximum security applies at all times, particularly when receiving or issuing goods.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
Education: One year of university studies is required. Prior Work Experience: None. Language Proficiency: Fluency in written, spoken, reading English. Language proficiency will be tested. Knowledge, skills and abilities: Knowledge of basic arithmetic. Basic knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services. Excellent customer facing skills. Excellent oral communication skills. Ability to deal with telephone calls and handle enquiries. Ability to work effectively with others. Ability to work while standing.


4. Server
RESPONSIBILITIES:
To prepare the dining room, including all necessary mise-en-place for service; serve customers in a professional, efficient and courteous manner..

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
Education: One year of university studies is required. Prior Work Experience: None. Language Proficiency: Fluency in written, spoken, reading English. Language proficiency will be tested. Knowledge, skills and abilities: Knowledge of basic arithmetic. Basic knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services. Excellent customer facing skills. Excellent oral communication skills. Ability to deal with telephone calls and handle enquiries. Ability to work effectively with others. Ability to work while standing.


5. Laundry Attendant
RESPONSIBILITIES:
To wash, iron and sort articles according to identification numbers or type. To fold and place item in appropriate storage bin. To lubricate machines, mend torn articles, and count articles to verify quantities on laundry lists. To ensure that all equipment and supplies are maintained and inventoried.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
Education: High School diploma is required. Prior Work Experience: None. Language Proficiency: Fluency in written, spoken, reading English. Knowledge, skills and abilities: Knowledge of basic arithmetic. Basic knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services. Excellent customer facing skills. Excellent oral communication skills, including concise and well-structured reporting. Ability to deal with telephone calls and handle enquiries. Ability to work while standing. Ability to lift and carry heavy objects.


6. Janitor / Housekeeper
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
Education: High School diploma is required. Prior Work Experience: None. Language Proficiency: Fluency in written, spoken, reading English. Knowledge, skills and abilities: Knowledge of the materials, methods, and practices used in cleaning operations. Ability to work effectively with others. Ability to learn routine machine operations common to cleaning work. Ability to learn and observe safety precautions required in cleaning operations. Ability to lift and carry heavy objects. Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions.
